Our Story
Christian has worked in the digital retail industry for almost a decade. He started out in software working for a research and intelligence platform as a Project Manager. This was his first exposure to understanding consumer research and retail success in the digital space.
He then moved to a website optimization software platform where he spent 3-4 years working almost exclusively as a consultant for enterprise retailers on planning and analyzing their comprehensive digital strategy. That company was then acquired by a Search platform where he moved into a role working on digital strategy and business value/analytics. After almost 5 years in that role, he accepted a position as Director of Ecommerce at Ligonier Ministries, a role that he continues to this day.
For some reason Christian businesses seem to believe that sales growth or success is tantamount to manipulation or sin. However Pilgrim Commerce seeks to help businesses to grow with integrity and virtue in order to bless the body of Christ and their neighbors, in general.
Pilgrim Commerce was borne out of a desire to utilize his expertise in ecommerce and digital strategy to bless businesses that share his conservative and Christian values. He wants to leave a legacy of hard work and good stewardship for his children's children and wants to work with business owners looking to do the same!

With almost a decade of experience in the retail ecommerce industry, Christian has helped hundreds of brands to improve their digital strategy and commerce across channels. His special projects have spanned across general website optimization, customer segmentation & personalization, search, product recommendations, analytics and more.
In his current role as Director of Ecommerce at Ligonier Ministries, he is responsible for overseeing all of the efforts surrounding the Shopify web store and Amazon storefront. This includes merchandising, onsite search, SEO, advertising, customer relationship management and personalization, analytics and more.
Pilgrim Commerce was borne out of a desire to use this experience and expertise to bless Christian and Conservative small businesses who could use some help developing an ecommerce strategy but can't afford to break the bank by bringing in a digital consulting firm.
Christian lives in New Hampshire with his wife and four sons and attends an Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
